OK, this is the first blog posting on this website, which will be a monthly event as we ramp up this whole enterprise. Where to start.....some first thoughts


I try not to part with my money easily, so it stands to reason that I gravitate towards whiskey's that are great tasting and reasonably priced. Fortunately there are plenty of those.


I am open to tasting whisky from pretty much anywhere.


There is no 'e' in whisky, except when there is.


Enough of these Viking and GOT names.


The whisky market is playing a delicate game of tradition v innovation with its product.


Ever increasing numbers of 'special releases' must mean we are in a 'golden age' of whisky production, right?


The grain and the barrel are the two key contributors to the nose and the taste ?
